(WASHINGTON, D.C.) Steve Gordon, Managing Partner of Total Spectrum/Steve Gordon and Associates, is pleased to announce that Steve Ruhlen is the newest partner of this rapidly expanding public affairs firm.
Steve brings to Total Spectrum a vast array of experience. He served as Deputy Assistant for Legislative Affairs for Vice President Cheney, where he covered the House of Representatives and worked on tax, defense, trade, and energy policy. He was born in San Antonio and has an extensive record of service with the Texas Congressional Delegation as well as with key committees. Steve was Chief of Staff to Congressman Pete Olson, Congresswoman Kay Granger, and to former Congressman Henry Bonilla. He worked extensively with both Congressmen and senior staff of the Appropriations, Energy & Commerce, Ways & Means, Armed Services, and the Financial Services Committees – and with members of Leadership.
After leaving the White House, Steve became Sr. Vice President at JP Morgan Chase & Company, where he helped spearhead the federal affairs team and engaged extensively in a wide array of policy issues. Prior to joining Total Spectrum, he was the principal of Ruhlen Strategies LLC.
