Terry Bohl is America’s foremost expert in the development of commercial-sized solar projects on Native American reservations. Terry has developed 12 solar projects on reservations, creating more than 3.9 kWh and 1200 kWh of battery storage. He has perfected a system that shortens the development process from three years to one year, and he has standardized methods and techniques that are designed to create the maximum financial return to the Tribe and its enrollees.
Terry was the Chief Operating Officer of the Moapa Band of Paiutes, and established them as a leader in tribal solar energy. He implemented a wide array of renewable energy assets and energy efficiency upgrades to reduce the Tribe’s carbon footprint, reduce retail costs of energy, increase climate resiliency, and fight climate change. He developed projects in energy efficiency, renewable energy, and community resiliency. He also managed the tribe’s travel center, fireworks businesses, sand and gravel operation, and worked with the State of Nevada to design and develop the tribe’s cannabis compact which allows for full vertical integration.
He now uses the knowledge and experience he acquired about utility-sized solar farms and other development projects to help other Tribes create financial wealth and opportunities.
