Ron Willman had a distinguished career at Motorola as a results and growth-oriented sales and business executive with broad experience in the data, telecommunications, and wireless communication systems markets. Ron was responsible for the profit and loss focus of driving and directing new ideas to successful and profitable conclusion. He also was a disciplined planner and hands-on implementer with strong strategic orientation. Above all, Ron demonstrated a proven ability to increase sales and profits by exceeding his annual quota each of his 14 years with the company. Ron was named Regional Director of the Year and was a five-time President’s Club Award recipient.
After leaving Motorola, Ron founded RDW Associates, a business development consultancy creating strategic and tactical marketing and sales plans for new and existing clients. His plans created for clients focus on developing and closing on new business and promote incremental growth of existing client revenues. Clients have included Last Mile Networks where he collaborated with Terry Bohl and created the Portable Communications and Incident Command System (PCICS), a ‘network in a box’ consisting of a four pound satellite antenna, server, router, solar panel, battery pack, multi-band radio, and Pelican case. This system operates completely independent of terrestrial infrastructure and is used by law enforcement, first responder and search/rescue personnel in areas where land-based cell networks, radio networks, and power grid are unavailable. Current users include all 27 Nevada Native American tribes and other Native American groups in Washington, California, and Arizona. Another client is 227 InfoSec, a San Diego-based IT services company where Ron, as Vice President of Business Development, provides cybersecurity services to western states tribes.
