A leading policy and political strategist, Andy Ehrlich’s 25 years in Washington, D.C. have given him the ability to effectively navigate both Congress and the executive branch, neutralize opposition, build alliances and vigilantly execute comprehensive legislative and regulatory strategies. He regularly helps his clients succeed in the telecommunications, energy, environment, food, agriculture, health, and information technology sectors.

His knowledge, experience, and key relationships help his clients address complex legal, legislative and regulatory issues. Andy has established and led practice teams because he is a leading thinker on policy, political, and communications strategies. He also has extensive political and communications experience, which includes providing direction and administering a large corporate political action committee. His clients include corporations, public policy organizations, local government entities, and individuals confronted with policy issues resulting from federal law and regulation or congressional investigations. Andy is also experienced at developing, managing and executing public affairs strategies, third party stakeholder efforts, and media campaigns.

Andy served as a chief of staff in the leadership of the U.S. House of Representatives and also held a variety of legislative, political, and communications positions for members of Congress. He served as Chief of Staff for Congressman Rick Lazio (R-NY), Subcommittee Counsel for Congressman Richard Baker (R-LA), and was both the Chief of Staff and Legislative Director for Congressman Randy Tate (R-WA).

Andy has appeared before Congress, regularly speaks on federal public policy issues and has published numerous articles. He holds a Juris Doctor from Loyola University, New Orleans School of Law (1988) and a Bachelor of Science from Louisiana State University (1985).
