Steve Gordon is one of the pioneers in the field of political guidance and fundraising.
Steve entered politics in 1978 as Finance Director for candidate – then U.S. Senator – Rudy Boschwitz of Minnesota, and formed Steve Gordon & Associates in 1979.
Since 1979, Steve Gordon & Associates has raised over $76 million for prominent Republican Governors, Senators, Members of Congress, and candidates for the U.S. Senate and House of Representatives. These candidates have included Senators Wayne Allard, John Ashcroft, Christopher S. Bond, Rudy Boschwitz, Alfonse D’Amato, Bob Dole, Lauch Faircloth, Slade Gorton, Rod Grams, Chuck Hagel, Kay Bailey Hutchison, Jim Jeffords, Jon Kyl, Dirk Kempthorne, John McCain, Mitch McConnell, Steve Symms, Jim Talent, John Thune, Governor Bill Weld, Senator and Governor Pete Wilson, Governor Mitch Daniels, Congresswoman Jo Ann Emerson, Congressman Cory Gardner, former Congressman Vin Weber, and former Congresswoman and former Secretary of Labor Lynn Martin.
Steve was a Trailblazer and member of the national finance committee for John McCain 2008. Steve was a major participant and a Pioneer in the Bush-Cheney 2004 campaign.
He believes in giving back to the political process by helping to inform and educate. Steve has served as a guest lecturer at George Washington University’s Graduate School of Political Management, the Dole Institute at the University of Kansas, the Republican Jewish Coalition, the Construction Industry Roundtable, and the Republican National Committee’s Campaign Finance College.
Steve founded Total Spectrum/Steve Gordon & Associates in 2008 to further his political work with companies, associations, coalitions, and individuals. Past and current clients include International Franchise Association, Smiths Group, Medco, The U.S. Virgin Islands, Peabody Energy, Property Casualty Insurance Association, AdvaMed, Compressus, The Constitutional Sources Project, and Rail Infrastructure Management.
