Founder, The Howes Group
Chris Howes founded the Howes Group in 2001. The Howes Group specializes in lobbying issues affecting Colorado’s business community at the State Capitol in Denver, Colorado. Drawing on over twenty-five years of cumulative lobbying expertise, The Howes Group has represented many of Colorado’s largest employers, associations and Fortune 500 companies – including the Colorado Beverage Association, Colorado Hospital Association, Colorado Retail Council, and the Colorado Chamber of Commerce – helping them to create a durable, more business-friendly environment.

Chris began his lobbying and association management career in 1994, representing a diverse group of industry sectors and associations at the Colorado State Capitol including pharmaceutical, agriculture, grocery, telecommunications, hospitals, big box retail, national beverage bottlers, emergency radio manufacturers, voting equipment, and commercial developers.

From 1994 to 1997, Chris served as Vice President of the Colorado Retail Council and was the Council’s lead lobbyist on the issue of pharmacy regulation and legislation. Before moving over to the State Capitol, Chris was a Senior Associate at CRL Associates, Inc., a contract lobbying firm in Denver specializing in municipal and county government.
